Pronunciation[edit]

Hmm, I thought I've always heard his name pronounced as /ˈkɔːɡɪl/, never /ˈkoʊɡɪl/, or at least both variants, although I'm not at all sure. Anecdotically, he insisted on this pronunciation because he did not like the association with cow (or a cow's neck/chin to be more specific), even though his name is not necessarily unrelated in origin. --Florian Blaschke (talk) 21:15, 20 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
