Opposition to the Deletion of Warner Bros. Recreational Enterprises[edit]

I wanted to start off by saying Warner Bros. theme parks are very important to me. I've been doing every bit of research I can to identify sources for this page. Given it's hard when the company really only existed semi-prominently for less than 10 years. But that still in my opinion doesn't merit this page from being deleted. Using the resources at my college library I was able to identify historical archived newspaper articles that specifically mention that name of the company or the actions that the company was taking at the time. It's clear to determine that the company was established following the merger of Time Magazine and Warner Communications in 1989. The First park open in June of 1991, construction took 16 months giving us a possible time span for the creation of the company between January 1990 when TimeWarner became official and February of 1990 when construction started.

After tracking down and interviewing the former president of the company Nicholas Winslow I was able to learn more about the history of the company and its endeavors, successful and otherwise. During the interview he mentioned that the company wasn't looking for press, so not many official press releases were issues. Which explains that lack of ability to find many.

We now that Warner Bros. closed down and sold off majority of the company to Six Flags. But it was also stated on the verifiable resource Bloomsberg that the Stephen Ross left Warner Bros. as executive Vice President of Recreational Enterprises in 2017 meaning that the company still exists in some form or another. Mr. Winslow is going to get back to me with a contact for Mr. Ross so I can further inquire into the company.

Warner Bros. Recreational Enterprises existed, it may not have been highly publicized, but none the less it did exist. It created three large theme parks around the world with plans for further expansion prior to it's downsizing. This page, this company doesn't deserve to be redirected and just forgotten about to the sands of time. Chrisisreed (talk) 17:24, 13 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
