Untitled[edit]

Am I the only one that thinks that this "corriculum highlights" is terrible... ? Hithisishal 06:50, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am semi-protecting this article due to daily vandalism from 216.255.121.69 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RDNS · RBLs · http · block user · block log). However, I am also in touch with the school's administration via OTRS, so hopefully we can resolve this soon. - jredmond 16:05, 8 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think that Jesus Christ Graduated from Ward Melville.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.137.9.63 (talkcontribs) 13:59, May 20, 2006

LOL. Probably Klett was responsible. Anyways, what's with the "our" and stuff? 68.195.47.239 03:02, 16 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ward Melville is also noteworthy because of the higher-than-average communist presence among students. Is this a stupid claim or is it just me? I've only seen one open communist in the entire school. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.186.192.247 (talkcontribs) 15:45, September 21, 2006

Ethan, yeah 24.186.192.247 20:45, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There are actually quite a few... I don't know all of them by name, but I know at least 2 juniors this year that are, and I know there are more. I even here that there is an unofficial "Communist club." Sbrools 03:50, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re-formatting[edit]

Please re-format ("Wikify") this high school's page as per Wikipedia's Guide to Layout and Manual of Style. A good reference, including examples on how to cite information, is the Fayetteville-Manlius Central School District page. Please remember that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, therefore all articles must be formatted as such. Shoughto 06:44, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright[edit]

I hated sticking the copyright template on this page, but it seems to me that almost the entire page is taken directly from the school's website. Maybe we can not delete it, but just reword it? I think that it has some valuable information on it, but I think that the school's website is copyrighted, as it has a copyright symbol in the footer of the page. The page also has a few sprawling lists that aren't really useful to the reader. The page needs work. --Sbrools (talk . contribs) 19:52, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Just an additional note: I checked the history to see who added the material I think is copywrited, but found out that it is just an IP adress: 24.186.75.170 (talk · contribs) --Sbrools (talk . contribs) 18:34, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • I removed the content that I believed to be copyrighted, so I also removed the copy-vio tag. --Sbrools (talk . contribs) 18:41, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cleaned up and added references[edit]

FYI, I did a big cleanup of the article and added numerous references to many of the originally unsourced statements. There are a few left, so I tagged them with a citation needed tag. Hopefully I or others can find sources for those statements in the near future. —Umofomia 06:03, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dubious Alumnus[edit]

  • Marc Soblick (class of 2000) - Director of Revenue and Guest Services for Holiday Inn Hotels (holidayinn.com).

I removed this alumnus from the list because he has been listed under several highly questionable means; not to mention, he does not have an article about him, which usually means he does not meet notability requirements for inclusion. If someone has a citation to confirm that this person did in fact graduate from this school (not just that he works for Holiday Inn), please re-add it. • Anthony Harrison (Class of 2007)- Notable Philosopher and Philanthropist

Removed, quite obviously false. —Preceding unsigned comment added by AWikiWikWik (talkcontribs) 05:59, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • This entire section should be retitled Obscure Alumni. It is probably one of most absurd entries on Wikipedia, that once again leaves Wikipedia looking like a blog for buddies. Virtually no one on the list should even have an entry here...
