great job![edit]

kudos to whoever wrote this page. great translations, great notes, smooth all around.

only wish there were more songs covered!

oh, and is "uta" really the normal uta? i know there's a couple of other utas which show up in ref to (old) poems.

my gut says it should be a diff one here, but i don't have a dict handy. 66.105.218.9 (talk) 11:07, 4 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

JP wiki uses the same kanji https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/童歌 24.247.113.96 (talk) 07:34, 28 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Merging[edit]

This article on warabe-uta, japanese nursery rhymes, isn't linked to the japanese page https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/童歌. That one links instead to the english page of Nursery rhyme. Wiki community helper please suggest proceeding. 24.247.113.96 (talk) 12:48, 28 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. warabe-uta just means children's songs, and this is just a list of Japanese children's songs. It should either be merged with children's song or moved to "Japanese children's songs". I think there is possible room for expansion here with topics like ekaki-uta, so I'm more inclined towards the latter option. small jars tc 07:55, 6 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
