Huston

The article erroneously claimed that Walter Huston was born "Walter Houghston" -- since I too am a Huston and he's a part of my well-researched and verified family tree, I can assure you that the name has been consistently spelled "Huston" since our family's arrival in Canada from overseas. Any other spellings are just errors made by record keepers, etc. Eleuther 06:21, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Huston's Year of Birth

I discovered this on the Find-a-Grave site: Marker. Even the site itself lists it as 1884, as does the IMDB. I'll do some more research and see what I can find. If some else finds out what gives here, please post it. Michael David 19:53, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

• The marker is obviously in error. The 1884 date is attested everywhere I've looked. The 1894 date would make him barely 12 years old when his son John was born. Eleuther 06:22, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

The Ontario Birth Index at ancestry.com lists him as having been born April 5, 1883. All Hallow's Wraith (talk) 08:16, 3 December 2010 (UTC)

Now, that sounds REAL stupid.

Any objections against a brief "Walter Huston is the father of actor/director John Huston, and the grandfather of actress Anjelica Huston". Walter Huston's birthname

I have changed the birthname to Huston which IS the name on his birth certificate. Our family does have a copy of this information from the archives in Toronto,Ontario, Canada bri_athomeBri athome 19:40, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

Age

If Huston was born in 1883, he would've been 67 when he died, not 66. I think his birthdate needs to be changed to 1884. 99.239.176.33 (talk) 13:05, 18 August 2011 (UTC)
