Copy edit; Remove history section?[edit]

I've just completed a copy edit of the page. I removed a lot of fluff, because there just weren't very many options for correcting the article's sentence structure without removing all the unnecessary information. If I've removed anything that someone else considered crucial, I apologize, and of course restore it. However:

I'm thinking the History section should just be removed. It doesn't cite a single source, and it's been tagged for improvement for over two years. The vast majority of people who will search WP for this radio station will find the information they seek in the lead section, which is concise and does cite at least a couple of sources.

I'm going to put this page on my watchlist, wait a few days, and see if anyone else ventures an opinion. If not, I intend to go ahead and kill the section as unsourced. --Moralis (talk) 20:20, 24 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
