FCC info[edit]

My query if it still works FCC Record for WVUR Andrew Powell 15:04, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Copy Rights[edit]

Someone copied all the text from the WVUR about us page. This user did not give proper citation and may not have gotten permission from WVUR or the author of that article and I worry that this page may end up the Copyrights problem page if we don't fix this. Andrew Powell 18:09, 26 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My opinion is that it would be of good value to include some of the information form the WVUR about us page on this site to add some more information about the history of the station. I think it would be better to write our own text here and site the sources of our facts rather than using a gigantic block quote. Andrew Powell 18:11, 26 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed, once i have the chance, I'd be willing to implement it in an original, non-infringing way. Craig R. Nielsen 18:31, 26 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry about copying that block of quote, I am actually an Admin of WVUR site. I just wanted to get something up there because there was absolutly nothing in there about the station. Maybe we can work something out with getting you guys some info and maybe help write some stuff. Matt Preuss 27 April 2006

Management and Awards: unencyclopedic?[edit]

This page includes very long lists of award winners, alumni, and station team members. Check out Indiana University's WIUX-LP, Ball State's WWHI, and other college radio station pages. Few if any list individual names, except when those people have Wikipedia articles. For instance, Ginger Zee is a notable alum and she should be referenced on the WVUR page.

I think it's worthwhile listing the number and type of awards won, as well as the names of notable alumni/management and their years of service. All other information in the Management and Awards sections should be heavily condensed or removed entirely. The Source's own webpage would be a good place to host those names. See Yale Daily News for an example of a student media outlet that has a good alumni section: just people with notable careers outside of the media outlet are included.Runner1928 (talk) 03:36, 10 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Seeing no discussion or objections, I'm going to remove most of the management and awards from this page.Runner1928 (talk) 02:27, 19 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Former managers[edit]

I've deleted (now for the second time) an indiscriminate list of non-notable former staff members per WP:INDISCRIMINATE. Please let me know if I'm missing a valid, policy-based argument as to why that information should be reintroduced. Go Phightins! 23:56, 24 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
