Article name[edit]

I have moved this article back to WTVT from WTVT-TV. Consensus on both WP:NC#Broadcasting and Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Television_Stations#Article_names is that the article name should reflect the actual call letters of the TV station. As can be seen here: [1] the call letters for this station are in fact WTVT. Any concerns regarding this topic would be best addressed here: Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Television_Stations. Monsanto Controversy[edit]

This section has some factual errors. I will attempt to address them as soon as I have a chance. — Linnwood 22:36, 10 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WTVT News Operation[edit]

Don't you think we should go more in-depth about WTVT's news operation? After all, it is the biggest one in town -- and possibly all of America. CoolKatt number 99999 03:44, 27 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your Turn mention[edit]

This page was featured on the July 25, 2006 episode of WTVT's Your Turn! CFIF (talk to me) 16:44, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Monsanto controversy - again[edit]

We need to put this section back in the article. No matter what the outcome or the facts of the case were, it is still an important mark on the station's history.

  • Added the Montesanto controversy section. I looked up the cases and read them. I provided a brief summary. I also did a little bit of research and povided references. It should all be accurate. Charleenmerced 08:35, 10 February 2007 (UTC)Charleenmerced[reply]

Many many problems[edit]

A lot of this article reads like an ad for the TV station, contains all sorts of jargon like "off-network sitcoms" and do we really need to know all the news anchors and newscasts on the station? What is this TV Guide? Can someone please rewrite this article to make it not sound like it was written by the Fox 13 marketing department?

I've tried to clean some of it up and reorganize it so it's more encyclopedic. It still needs work, alas. Digitalican 18:54, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The article definitely needs a lot of expert help. Perhaps the expert tag should be added to accelerate this request. Wslupecki 21:11, 6 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

- yeah but keep john wilson in it he is sooo sexay. laugh out loud

Studio Renovations[edit]

As many FOX 13 viewers may know, the main set is undergoing a complete overhaul, which has caused the newscasts to be aired from the inerview sets. I'm sure the new set will look nice, but am wondering just how it will look like when it's done. 71.100.54.214 19:32, 19 March 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Here's a link relating to the studio renovations. [2]. Wslupecki 00:02, 22 March 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Photo servlet.jpg[edit]

Image:Photo servlet.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 09:21, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

.2 Network? For real?[edit]

Uhhhhmmm I can not find any information from WTVT at all that proves they are joining the .2 Network "sometime in August". I will call the newsroom later todat to verify and edit.I am the Tape! (talk) 17:17, 25 July 2008 (UTC)Tapeisback[reply]

Know this is really long since it's been responded to, but I removed it. .2 is pretty well dead at this point and Fox doesn't do subchannels in the first place, so your caution was well-placed. Nate (chatter) 06:25, 24 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Past on-air talent.[edit]

What happened to the list of WTVT's former on-air talent? It seems to have disappeared this should be rebuilt, this is the only major network affiliate news station wiki page with little to no former talent section, and i remember it used to be large for WTVT. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Coloradoweatherdude (talkcontribs) 05:59, 29 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
