Volumes, 1 & 2 (Shinedown EP)Volume 1 and Volume 2 – The title of this article is a mess. First of all, these aren't Shinedown EPs – the cover art of the EPs and every source for them credit them to "Smith & Myers". But "Volumes, 1 & 2" isn't a great title either: there's no obvious reason for the comma in that title, and no sources use "Volumes" instead of "Volume". I think this should be titled either Volume 1 and Volume 2 as per the Classic Rock review [1], or Volume 1 and 2 as per the Kerrang! review [2]. There might also be an argument for Volumes 1 and 2 or Volumes 1 & 2, but note there is already an article for the latter option for a different album, so the disambiguator "(Smith & Myers EPs)" would have to be added for this option. I prefer my suggestion because the Volumes 1 & 2 album is a single album, whereas these are two separately released EPs, and Volume 1 and Volume 2 emphasizes that. I don't think these should be separated into two articles as the reliable sources have reviewed them together, and there don't seem to be any reliable sources at all for Volume 2 on its own. Given the various options for re-titling this article, I thought it would be best to discuss them first and gain a consensus. Richard3120 (talk) 01:26, 24 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@In ictu oculi: I don't have a problem with "Volume 1 & 2". But this isn't an album, it's two separate EPs, and I don't believe it's described as an album on any reliable sources. Richard3120 (talk) 18:35, 24 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It's being sold as a single 60' min CD and Vinyl LP. It's an album In ictu oculi (talk) 07:57, 25 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
If that's the case, then fair enough, and Volume 1 & 2 (Smith & Myers album) is an acceptable title for me. Richard3120 (talk) 15:43, 25 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. "Volume 1 and Volume 2" is such a generic phrase. --Gonnym (talk) 01:13, 26 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Gonnym: No problem, that's a very valid point. What would you suggest instead? Richard3120 (talk) 13:45, 26 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
If I understand correctly from what you wrote and from the two working sources in the article, this is not a Shinedown band "item" but only two members from that band Brent Smith and Zach Myers. So if disambiguation is need it should be "Smith and Myers". Now for the type, I haven't checked, so I'll assume it is an "EP" so that means "Smith and Myers EP". Now for the item itself. It seems these are two separate albums, so "Volume 1 and Volume 2" should work. So for the final title, I'd say Volume 1 and Volume 2 (Smith and Myers EPs). --Gonnym (talk) 14:19, 26 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
