This is a major area of analytical chemistry, anyone have any ideas on how to crack it? I guess bit by bit, I'm going to jump right into anodic stripping voltammetry since that's where my experiences lie.

Link & redirect

This article links to polarography, which redirects to voltammetry, which links to polarography… Probably polarography should have its own article. --Ragimiri 19:55, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

I have some ideas to add to this article. I think the general voltammetry article should be a little more complete. I'm thinking of adding some or all of:

-A brief history -more of the general theory of voltammetry -some of the uses

ok, I added a brief history to the article. I am planning on making further edits as time allows. I plan on making a theory section next. I'll try to include the core equations and describe the basic principles. Any other thoughts on what I should include in this section? Also, I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts as to what order the sections of the article should be in. I placed history after the descriptions of the different techniques. Present status?

To what extent and in which applications are voltammetric methods used today? It is my understanding that polarography was a very important if not dominant branch on the votammetry tree but I assume that there may be a decline due to the toxicity of mercury. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 150.227.15.253 (talk) 09:41, 11 August 2015 (UTC)
