While I find wikipediatrix's interpretation of Wikipedia rules on many of The Choir album pages I've created to be overly draconian if not entirely unfair--not to mention an assumption of bad faith on my part--I recognize that sourcing is important, and in the spirit of fair play, I'm willing to revise these pages accordingly. In addition, these Choir pages are similar in writing style to album pages for similar performers like U2, so if she feels these pages should be flagged for POV and OR, then so should they, but that's another discussion entirely.--TARDIS 01:42, 8 July 2006 (UTC),[reply]

Whoo, boy... have I learned a lot about Wikipedia editing guidelines since that comment (and I am still learning!). Deleted, but saved for (embarrassing) posterity. TARDIS (talk) 18:06, 14 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:VoicesInShadows.jpg[edit]

Image:VoicesInShadows.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

I believe this issue has been addressed. Other editors can let me know if additional information is required since this request for fair use rationale was posted. TARDIS (talk) 18:06, 14 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Updated and expanded article[edit]

I am in the process of revising all the album entries for the Choir, removing POV language, adding relevant information with reliable sources and doing basic formatting and cleanup, and the current version of Voices in Shadows as of today is the result. This has involved a trip to the Los Angeles Central Library to collect much of the information listed in the Bibliography, as well as any available archived print versions of CCM Magazine. (Unfortunately, the library's print archives for this source only go back to the year 2000.) However, because this album was released pre-internet, there are a number of reviews of this album that are simply not accessible on the Web or available in the Internet Archive. These are listed specifically at CMNexus.org: The Choir. Any assistance with securing these sources for additional content would be most appreciated! TARDIS (talk) 18:06, 14 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
