I remember this abbreviated as vis., always with the period. It was mostly found in more scholarly newspaper, magazine and journal articles and has fallen out of vogue. Viz was something else entirely.

Abbreviation viz.[edit]

Why is there a "see also" link to the abbreviation viz., which stands for videlicet? Shouldn't this be clarified as a "not to be confused with?" Kavindad1 (talk) 18:13, 1 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
