Merge Sections into other articles?

May I suggest that the very brief article ? stub material of Virginia of Sagadahoc is mostly covered in this longer article, and that merging this much longer article into the brief Virginia of Sagadahoc is inappropriate, and perhaps 'backward'.

I have begun working on an expansion of pinnace so as to cover the topic in appropriate detail. As pinnace stands now, it only presents a few specifics of a complex topic that deserves explication.

Therefore I am suggesting that Virginia of Sagadahoc be merged into this article, and that pinnace be expanded appropriately so as to cover the diverse 'small' and 'large' pinnace designs. Does this make sense? Might I proceed ? merlynne6 (talk) 21:26, 21 February 2011 (UTC) (author)

I have begun to draft a article for to replace the existing pinnace with the avowed objective to be thorough and do the subject justice. Both 'small' and 'large', often armed pinnace designs will be covered, with attention to their origin in the Netherlands and the Dutch fluyt, Historical images will be closely matched to the text.
