Why would Einstein be cited as an authority on the viola? His name being included actually makes me question the point, not be more willing to accept it. -- Alcourt 02:31, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Probably because Alfred Einstein was a renowned and highly-respected musicologist (unlike the similarly-named and possibly distantly-related physicist and amateur violinist Albert Einstein, whom you may be thinking of). Emoll (talk) 23:17, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"Selected" list of concertos and concertante works?[edit]

J. C. Bach[edit]

I don't know who added the J. C. Bach concerto bullet, but it should be mentioned that it is a spurious work and was actually written by Henry Casadessus. AdamChapman (talk) 19:53, 2 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Viola Concerto Page as a Resource[edit]

While I understand wanting to list viola concerti that are famous, would it not be better to list a more comprehensive larger list of works that are not quite so common but still played? Since Wikipedia is a heavily used dictionary reference site I feel that the article could be more useful in spreading knowledge about viola repertoire in a more representative manner than just "the hits."
