Deliberately US-Centric[edit]

Not sure why the US grabbed this article. Many, if not most, countries give veteran's pensions. The high level article should describe that and give the history from the Roman legions on. Student7 (talk) 23:40, 12:34, 25 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, neither the subject nor title is US-specific. I've marked it as such with {{globalize}}. Superm401 - Talk 07:36, 1 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. Renamed. Can't see any viable way of rescuing this from US-Centrism without totally degutting the article. Until we see articles on other countries, I don't know how we can generalize more than a vague paragraph or so. Student7 (talk) 20:24, 8 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Military History Task Force Classification[edit]

This article doesn't appear to really fit in any of the given classifications for the Military History Project. It currently fits in the US task force, but I don't feel it should be there really because I agree with the above unsigned comment that this article shouldn't be only about the US. Suggestions? Sabre ball (talk) 14:16, 27 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure why it wouldn't fit military history. Pensions have gone on a long time. Student7 (talk) 23:40, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
