Vel also means Elephant in ancient Tamil[edit]

In a poem dedicated to lord Ganesha - the elephant headed god - he is referred as "Vela Mugathone" which clearly establishes that Vel can also refer to elephant. J mareeswaran (talk) 11:43, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
