the swedish name for Vaasa is Vasa, it may seem insignificant, but it isn´t to those living there. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.244.86.60 (talk) 23:49, 14 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Isn't this information already listed on the page? Also, there's a wikilink from Vasa to here. Could you elaborate what you'd like to see improved, or do the changes yourself? If you're new to Wikipedia, just read the tutorial before editing. Hope this helps. Aapo Laitinen 20:00, July 16, 2005 (UTC)

Should we maybe start adding new articles to this, like 'Institutions of Higher education'? There are several like: University of Vaasa Åbo Akademi Vasa (two faculties) Swedish School of Economics and Business Administration Helsinki University Faculty of Law, Vaasa department

And polytechnics: Vaasa Polytechnic Swedish Polytechnic - Christian B — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.17.199.164 (talk) 21:05, 23 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There has been some additions concering Vaasa University on the Vaasa section. I feel that the text does not belong on this page and should abe replaced to a page that only concerns Vaasa university. And when taken the above text into account the newly written text reflects poorly on the cities educational possibilities. The version seen now (21.6.2006) should be extensivly rewritten. - Christian B — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.17.199.164 (talk) 16:16, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I found a whole article on the University of Vaasa here in the english Wikipedia. I have removed the text about the university from the Vaasa-page and replaced it there with some rewriting done. - Christian B — Preceding unsigned comment added by Christian B (talkcontribs) 22:38, 1 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Should someone write an article about Kenneth Haglund, author of computer programme YAWC? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.76.43.238 (talk) 06:51, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notable people of Vaasa[edit]

Among the listed ones, Mr. Leif Segerstam is missing. He is quite famous both as orchestra conductor and composer. Would it be appropriate to integrate his name in the list?

1.2 Foundation[edit]

"... wasteland owners from Southwest Finland came to guard their land." In what sense is this wasteland? Maybe this is a poor translation from the Finnish, but it's unclear what the owners were guarding, why and with what result. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mathyeti (talkcontribs) 10:11, 28 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
