A History of Millard County by Edward Leo Lyman and Linda King Newell. Utah State Historical Society Millard County Commission, 1999.
This book was written for the 1999 centennial of the State of Utah and is perhaps the most scholarly (and recent) treatment of the history of Millard County. There is, of course, a section dealing with the Territorial Statehouse.

Payne's thesis relies heavily on primary sources to tell the story of the building and various uses of the Territorial Statehouse.
Milestones of Millard: A Century of History in Millard County 1851-1951 compiled by Stella H. Day and Sebrina C. Ekins. D.U.P. of Millard County, 1951.
Milestones, while not a scholarly history, provides stories about the Territorial Statehouse. Some information is from first-hand accounts, although most is from grandchildren of people involved.
Twenty Five Years in Millard County by Volney King. Unpublished manuscript, 1910.
King was a young man when he arrived in Fillmore, Utah, and wrote this book late in his life using memories as well as diary entries. It is one of the most complete records we have from someone who was here as the building was being built.
