Talk:University of Oldenburg

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A year ago the page was renamed to University of Oldenburg without any real discusision or explanation. I propose to revert back since:

  1. The full name of the University is Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg.
  2. This name is used in all public documents
  3. All the other wikipedias use the full name
  4. We do the same in other universities. Check for example University of Athens that redirects to National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and University of Thessaloniki that redirects to Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Number of students[edit]

Could someone check if the number of 18,320 students given on in the info box is accurate? The statistics published on the university’s website seem to state a number of 10,688 students (Studierende). http://uni-oldenburg.de/uni/39372.html (Currently trying to get the facts right for the Oldenburg article.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by TurnspitDawg (talkcontribs) 10:48, 6 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
