November 2017[edit]

I've removed the recently added information about the 2011 Healthstat survey. Being six years old, it's a case of WP:UNDUE. The survey itself isn't linked. The HSE have ceased the practice of ranking hospitals, saying "It is not intended that these reports are used to make comparisons between hospitals or hospital groups. Hospital activity will vary from hospital to hospital depending on the size and type of hospital, the services provided, clinical activity and the complexity of the care the hospital provides to patients." Really? The 2011 healthstat survey is very much DUE, not least because the problem was still evident in 2014.
While The HSE has indeed ceased to publicly rank hospitals, in such an overt fashion, that however does not mean assessments have ceased being done. Therefore your personal opinion that the HSE have ceased ranking hospitals is grossly incorrect. They just stopped allowing reporters access to the now more internalized system. To prevent further bad-PR for hospitals. The SDU Daily ED(emergency department) data is accessed via https://www.hse.ie/eng/staff/healthstat/hospitalresults/uchg/ or more directly, http://137.191.241.85/ed/
One can set the date, to today or any date and view the waiting time rankings oneself.
