Can someone provide...[edit]

Can someone provide a URL for downloading the UAA audio bus driver? It doesn't come with the 32-bit XP.

Wikipedia talk pages are for discussing the article, not for this kind of questions. Also, the answer is in the article: ...but is only available by contacting Microsoft support directly. However, almost all manufacturer supplied drivers contain the UAA class driver. Jaho (talk) 01:32, 17 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Snippet removed[edit]

I've removed the following, which seems out of place (talks about WDM which hasn't been mentioned at that point in the article; smells POV) although I feel that there's some actual info in there trying to come out. Mainly it seems like there's a lot before the bit removed that's also missing. Unfortunately I don't know enough about WDM or ASIO to know how to re-insert this is a constructive way 82.41.11.155 (talk) 02:22, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Meanwhile, some alternative technologies were designed by third parties to achieve special qualities, which WDM lacked. For example, ASIO (by Steinberg) was created to achieve low latency and stays supreme compared to UAA. New systems that implement UAA policy (such as Windows Vista) are rejected by some audio engineers, because of no legacy software compatibility.
I support your deletion. This information needed to be presented differently, with more about how the other architectures affected UAA, or vice versa. It had problems, and its removal is warranted. Binksternet (talk) 02:51, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
