Keep or delete article[edit]

Vote to keep[edit]

This article deserves to be kept. I agree it is short but it has the potential to be expanded in the future. Unitron was a very prominent manufacturer of optical instruments in decades past. Their products were highly durable and many still survive to this day. In particular I constantly come across old Unitron telescopes and eyepieces at universities. It is valuable to know from the article that they still sell spare parts for these. The article also serves historical importance in case Unitron goes out of business. Unitron was no smaller a player in the field of amateur telescopes than Meade or Celestron, which both have very informative articles. Because Unitron was at its peak before the Internet age means that information about it is harder to come by hence the brevity of the article. To delete the article would be time-discriminatory. I'll add a telescope manufacturer category in the hopes that somebody with more information can expand it. Jason Quinn (talk) 07:45, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

History[edit]

I found some interesting history of Unitron at the cloudynights.com forums. Jason Quinn (talk) 22:17, 21 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
