Medals[edit]

Ok, so, you would think that the IOC and the USOC should agree as to how many medals the United States won at each Games. You'd be wrong... The USOC table is at [1], the IOC numbers can be found by going to [2] and clicking on the "medals by country" link on the right-hand side. They're not the same, for every year through 1912.

I've changed the table back to reflect IOC numbers.

My big question is, however, for 1896, who exactly is the USOC snubbing, James Connolly or Frank Lane? -- Jonel | Speak 03:16, 22 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of United States at the Summer Olympics's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 22:02, 10 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
