The article title should be United F.C.[edit]

The name of team in United S.C., Prayag is only a title sponsor, which may change after few years. The earlier sponsor was Chirag.

The naming is same as that of AT&T Williams, Marussia Virgin or Lotus Renault. These teams have thier articles with the team names only, not along with sponsor names. Only the team name is constant, sponsors will come and go.

Chirag United Sports Club already redirects to this page, which means Chirag United and Prayag United are one and the same. Why should the article title be changed every time with the change in sponsors.

Hello PratyushG, I understand what you are saying but I recommend keeping the name as Prayag United S.C. mainly because it says on the AIFF website that the club name in Prayag United S.C.

Thank you though for your concern. Arsenalkid700 (talk), 22:55, 8 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The Logo used in this article is not accurate[edit]

The actual logo (here )of United F.C. is a bit different from what is used in this article. The main difference is that in the actual logo its "ESTD. 1927" written not "1910 - 1927". There are other differences as well.

ranti martins released[edit]

And that source says "the latest gossip says". That is not a confirmation. We need concrete proof and the fact is that this is the best player in India. If he left then there would be an article dedicated to his departure. Cheers. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 13:33, 4 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

User:BrownHairedGirl: would you take care of the category renaming (if this necessary) please? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 09:05, 6 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

United S.C.United S.C. (Kolkata) – "United Sports Club" or "United S.C." is highly ambiguous: it could refer to any of hundreds of football clubs around the world, maybe thousands, because they are often abbreviated as "United". The list of football clubs in India includes at least a dozen others with the word "united" in their title". Adding the disambiguator will create a unique title. • PS If the article is renamed, or if there is consensus to retain the current name, the club category Category:Prayag United S.C. and its subcats should be speedily renamed to match the head article, per WP:C2D. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 14:55, 25 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose Seems to be needless disambiguation as there are no other clubs called United S.C.. I appreciate that there are lots of clubs who have "United" in their name, but I don't see how anyone would possibly end up here if searching for any of the other clubs. At most a hatnote is needed, but I'm not sure we even need to go that far. Number 57 18:10, 26 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. I don't see any other articles of this title that this would be realistically confused with, let alone that would challenge it as WP:PRIMARYTOPIC.--Cúchullain t/c 14:51, 31 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
