In the History portion, it says "The origins of UCPB's current name are unknown"

On the contrary, UCPB's origin can be found in P.D.775 where President Ferdinand Marcos instructed the Philippine Coconut Authority to "formulate and recommend for adoption credit policies affecting production, marketing and processing of coconut and other palm oils" and to "to provide readily available credit facilities to the coconut farmers at preferential rates."[1]

It was also reported by the Philippine Daily Inquirer that Supreme Court of the Philippines found "Presidential Decree No. 755 issued by the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos authorizing the Philippine Coconut Authority to buy a bank using coco levy funds for the benefit of the coconut farmers was illegal."
