Talk:Un monde sans pauvreté

This article needs development, not deletion, in my view. I did not intend for it to be "ad" for the organization sponsoring a public-service message, but rather to add an internal link to information identifying the context for the phrase "Un monde sans pauvreté: Agissons!", which is cited in other Wikipedia entries, so as to define the campaign that the phrase relates to. I began with very brief citations from official statements of organizations relating to the French-Canadian campaign to end world poverty simply to define its contexts. (I forgot to add the "stub" reference and did so in editing. I also added an "econ-stub" reference.) The national and international organizations cited sponsor "public service" messages on Canadian and other national television, but not paid commercial advertisements for products. The sponsoring organization is a non-profit charity, not a for-profit organization. Its aim is to reduce Extreme poverty worldwide. That is a humanitarian public service, not a profit-making commercial enterprise. (The additional "stub" and "econ-stub" notices intend to welcome development of the article from a NPOV.) As the creator of this entry, I just want to point out that I have no connection whatsoever to any of the organizations mentioned in the entry. I really do intend only to create an encyclopedia entry since no other Wikipedia entry exists for the particular subject (phrase). Please note: I have already attempted to incorporate some of the information in other existing Wikipedia entries on related subjects, but I just don't currently have the time to do more. Perhaps other editors can help develop this entry further so that it seems to them less like an "ad" (if it still does so). Thanks!--NYScholar 21:30, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

I've suggested a merger with Make Poverty History section on Canadian Campaign. I hope that other editors might work on this merger, as I've currently run out of time to do it myself. If so, thank you!--NYScholar 15:06, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
Since first creating the entry and since writing comments on this "discussion" page, I have found a template created by someone else and added it to my own talk page:
This user supports the Make Poverty History and ONE campaigns.

The entry is not meant as an ad. As stated above, I added the suggestion of merging it with Make Poverty History, if the article's status as an article (as opposed to an ad) is still in doubt, however. Obviously, I am interested in and support the campaign of MPH and ONE, so I am making that clear to others who may still question the motivation of the initial entry. One can support a particular campaign (be not "neutral" about its aims) and still be willing and still strive to enable others to present a NPOV on it as a subject. If editors want to help out with a merger or rewriting the article, please do so. I've provided some material in the entry if it is needed for the merger or fuller development. Thank you again!--NYScholar 17:10, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
