Versions and their discussion[edit]

Where are the different versions? There should be sections discussing every version with arguments to their authenticity. —Hexafluoride Ping me if you need help, or post on my talk 15:36, 31 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Material in need of assessment[edit]

Clearly, an editor with little mastery of Wiki standards and English language has added possibly valuable material, but it's rendered worthless by its current outlook. Here it is, to be assessed and, if found useful, reworked, a source found, and added.

The covenant was mentioned in the history books in more than one formula and text, and it ranges from short texts, such as the text of Al-Yaqoubi and the text of Ibn al-Batriq and Ibn al-Juri, to detailed ones, such as the text of Ibn Asaker, the text of Al-Tabari, the text of Al-Tabari al-Maqdisi [2 different Tabaris?] and the text of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate [one kept there, or the one by Patriarch Eutychius? If former: never mentioned before, it's a must!]. And he[who?] attributed it to a number of sources, and it is recorded in the Musnad of Ahmad [maybe Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal?]. His[whose?] son Abdullah narrated in his appendices on the Musnad some conditions for the dhimmis.[citation needed]
