"Wichard Joachim Heinrich von Möllendorf adopted Ulrich's ancestors" This is opaque to me; as it stands it has such an unlikely Mormon ring to it. What happened in this case? Who was adopted?--Wetman (talk) 20:15, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The German article has improved since October 2007. It has reached featured article status, occurred on the main page at Wilamowitz' 160th birthday and was peer-reviewed in December 2008. I recommend you translate it again :) Yours, Jonathan Groß (talk) 14:27, 25 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Pasquali[edit]

I have added Giorgio Pasquali as a notable student of Wilamowitz (cf. PASQUALI, Giorgio. Storia della tradizione e critica del testo. Firenze: Arnoldo Mondadori, 1974). While Pasquali does not have a WIkipedia entry yet (I will probably work on that), he certainly deserves to figure in the list: he is probably the best known and most important italian philologist and his book "Storia della tradizione..." not only has been translated into many languages, but even though it was published in 1952 is still valued for many of his insights in the field of textual criticism. tresoldi (talk) 17:55, 27 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have a doubt: in "Achievements", it is said that: "As a representative of Postclassicism, he concentrated less on literary history but rather aimed to extract biographical information on the respective authors from the preserved texts".
