Commander[edit]

If I read the article correctly, then the commander was Capt Watts. Was it still Watts at the attack of Pearl Harbor? Jeremy's messagesto you 21:25, 29 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ships named USS Raleigh[edit]

This technically isn't the third ship named for the City of Raleigh. There have been four ships called USS Raleigh, and this is the third of those. However, the first ship named Raleigh was commissioned in 1776 which was prior to the city of Raleigh in North Carolina being founded in 1792. That ship was named for Sir Walter Raleigh.
