What about the rest?[edit]

So, she was built in 1938, and served with the German navy all through the war, yet she didn't manage to sail a single voyage during the intervening 8 years? According to this page, her service history began in 1946, when she became a USN ship. Yet she managed to at least rendezvous with the battleship Scharnhorst at least once while in German service, according to the page on that ship. So apparently there was at least one mission she completed in German service, I'd image a number of others as well. It would be nice if it at least threw in a sentence at the beginning of her "service history" that she "actively served as a tanker vessel for the German Navy during WWII". Seems that would at least do her early service a partial justice..45Colt 08:37, 14 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
