Disambiguation[edit]

Disambiguation is required. This article does not describe the only US 422. US 422 in Eastern PA has a western terminus in Harrisburg. However, another US 422 begins north of Pittsburgh and continues into Ohio through Youngstown, Warren and ultimately becomes a major thoroughfare in Cuyahoga County (serving the eastern suburban office market of Cleveland and terminating Southeast of Downtown Cleveland. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.160.220.98 (talk) 23:14, 30 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

(As noted below, both US 422 segments are now included. I do need to point out that the western end of eastern US 422 is in Hershey, not Harrisburg.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.63.16.82 (talk) 20:30, 1 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Western US 422[edit]

I added the western section of US 422 to the page. --myselfalso 14:50, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The "Missing" Section[edit]

It appears there is no "missing" section. Rather, US 22 has two spurs both named US 422. One spur represents the western section. The other spur represents the eastern section. The two are connected via US 22 like so: >-<. Since the western portion was signed 422 first, the sequence of the article has been modified accordingly. Also, the sequence of each section now reflects a starting point from each respective spur off of US 22, then heading to the other terminus. (In the case of the western section, the spur occurs in Ebensburg heading to Cleveland. In the case of the eastern section, the spur occurs in Hershey heading to Philadelphia.) 66.94.67.2 — Preceding undated comment added 20:58, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is not truly the case. There was a time when 422 was routed through the missing section. 422 once ran on 322's alignment between Harrisburg and Hershey. --hmich176 09:09, 5 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

old east end of Pottstown bypass[edit]

For the Pottstown bypass, I currently see this regarding the eastern end before the expressway connection to King of Prussia was done: "terminating at Township Line Road in Sanatoga". Having driven in that area (and having checked Mapquest), I'd like to point out my "educated" guess for the eastern end of the Pottstown bypass back then: the bypass continued a short distance along what is now marked as "Evergreen" in Mapquest, with all eastbound traffic then merging onto Ridge Pike. Further east, in Collegeville, Germantown Pike splits off from Ridge Pike, and it is Germantown Pike which was old US 422 going into Philadelphia. I am from further south (am familiar with the old West Chester Bypass, but not with the old Pottstown bypass), so it would be helpful to reach someone more familiar with the Pottstown area. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.63.16.82 (talk) 20:36, 1 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Primary source overuse[edit]

@Dough4872: you removed the tag despite primary sources still being overused, why did you think that was appropriate? Horse Eye's Back (talk) 15:15, 10 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Citations needed[edit]

@Dough4872: you asked me to bring this issue up on the talk page? You've almost never followed up on a request for a talk page discussion, will this be the day? Horse Eye's Back (talk) 16:43, 18 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Dough4872: you added a lot of original research, thats just not supported by the sources given so you either need to remove your OR or find sources which do support it. Horse Eye's Back (talk) 15:52, 18 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I am going to completely rewrite the route description in the coming weeks. It needed to be done anyway. Dough4872 16:03, 18 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Then why did you restore the OR version? You're not allowed to add content back in which isn't directly supported by an inline WP:RS, by adding it back in you are asserting that you have verified the information. If you have not verified the information then you are being disruptive. Horse Eye's Back (talk) 16:07, 18 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Imzadi1979: you have been able to verify that the information in the route section is not WP:OR? That quite frankly seems impossible. Horse Eye's Back (talk) 16:29, 18 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
