Nazi allies[edit]

Hello, Buidhe. Yes, I have heard of Vichy France. I found the tone of your edit summary to be a bit harsh. This was my rationale: France was NEVER an Axis power. There were the 3 Axis powers plus 7 "Other Axis States" according to the infobox article on Axis powers: Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, Finland, Bulgaria, Croatia, and Thailand. Croatia wasn't the real Croatia but some sort of NDH puppet state. However, the article says further on that six countries signed the Tri-Partite Pact: Hungary, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, and Yugoslavia (for two days). So Finland isn't even described as an "other Axis power" in the article (it was anti-Comintern?). Your point is well-taken about Vichy France, as countries with bilateral pacts with Axis powers are listed as Burma, Thailand, USSR, Vichy France, and Iraq. Burma mostly just fought with Japan and revolted in 1945; Thailand got invaded by Japan, went along in fighting with them but eventually had enough of Japan too. Vichy France seemed more uh enthusiastic so maybe you're right.

Although they are red-lined, I presume that you have already confirmed that Nazi or Nazi-like concentration camps existed in all countries in that list?--FeralOink (talk) 12:22, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
