Notability[edit]

Removed deletion. Stated crew chiefs notable and race engineers are not however they are becoming more critical to the MOTORSPORTS world and would submit that they are notable. please note the wiki article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Race_engineer

Also please note the following on Race Engineer for F1 Racing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scuderia_Ferrari https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rob_Smedley Please provide additional advice on how i might make this page better and help the wiki community understand the changing engineering environment in motorsports.

Whether or not race engineers are becoming more critical or not, they are not defined as being 'automatically notable' under WP:NMOTORSPORTS and, therefore, must default to meeting the general notability guideline. Which I believe, in this case, is not met. The fact there is a Wiki article on race engineers, and an article on a F1 engineer, are irrelevant; Wikipedia is not a reliable source, does not confer notability, and the linked person (Rob Smedley) meets WP:GNG by a country mile, which Tyler Allen does not. The way to improve it is to find additional third-party reliable sources that demonstrate GNG is met. - The Bushranger One ping only 21:42, 24 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Bushranger. Appreciate the guidance and better understanding of the "automatically notable" will take a look and do appreciate thanks!

(Also, I should note that the position of 'Race Engineer' in F1 is the same position called 'Crew Chief' over here. - The Bushranger One ping only 23:01, 28 August 2014 (UTC))[reply]
