There are many long neck lutes with the name tanbur as well as tambur[edit]

The most prominent being the Afghan tanbur(tambur) and the Uyghur tanbur (tambur), these are classical instruments used in both raaga and muqam recitals.Please expand this artikle. A photo would be great[edit]

I'd love to see a photo of a Tanbur, in particular, one that shows the extremely large number of frets on the neck.

Content forking[edit]

Moving the page[edit]

For disambiguation I suggest move the page to Turkish tambur (or to Tanbur (Turkish) as it used to be, and still is, in Template:Turkish musical instruments).
