News release[edit]

This article appears to have been written by a public relations agent acting on behalf of the subject of the article, or having some connection with the subject. It is not, in my opinion, a blatant advertisement. Emphasis on such matters as how well the book has sold, how important the author is, and what an important exposé the book represents, make this read as promotional, rather than the encyclopædic tone expected of Wikipedia.

Thoughts on adding Wikipedia criticism to this article?[edit]

I've been reviewing the book. The author makes a number of statements which show how Wikipedia itself is often abused by media strategists to influence bloggers. I think that's notable considering and wanted to check with any other editors on this article first before I add it. Too soon for love (talk) 21:18, 17 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction[edit]

In the introduction to his new edition, he says he lied about the advance. When I worked in publishing, even established authors would not get half million dollar advances. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.212.1.74 (talk) 17:58, 18 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
