Surmang and Zurmang[edit]

It looks like this page for about 10 years conflated two distinct Tibetan lineages and monastery complexes, the one in Kham (Surmang) and the one in Sikkim (Zurmang). We could separate out this page into two separate lineage pages and turn this one into a disambiguation page. Please comment if you'd like to discuss. Actually looking at the pictures of the Trungpa Tulku on the Zurmang Kagyu website here http://zurmangkagyu.org/images and comparing him with the Trungpa Tulku on the Konchok Foundation website here https://konchok.org/about-us/surmang-monastery it is clear that it is the same 12th Trungpa Rinpoche, so the last sentence of the Zurmang Lineage section is mistaken. The difference between Zurmang and Surmang is presumably only to do with transliteration into the Latin alphabet. Merlin Cox (talk) 13:23, 29 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
