Inhabited?[edit]

Mark Girouard, in his Historic Houses of Britain (1979), seems to imply that the Traquair family -- or someone -- still lives at Traquair House, even though the earldom went extinct. The official website doesn't appear to say one way or another. Anyone know? --Michael K Smith^Talk 12:08, 5 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Tone[edit]

The entire latter half of this very poor article reads like it was written to advertise the house. It is either unsourced or primary sourced. --The Huhsz (talk) 16:07, 1 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Forest[edit]

The house was originally a royal hunting seat, so naturally it would be surrounded by forest, since "forest" in this time period meant a royal hunting area, not a large woodland. Do we know if the area around the castle was woodland? Northern rock (talk) 05:56, 14 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
