Expand the scope of the article[edit]

I just stumbled upon this article and was quite surprised to find a completely different topic being treated as from what I had expected. I think an important other meaning of trade promotion is being missed out: Trade promotion as the promotion of a country's exports. Trade promotion in this sense covers a wide range of international organizations, national trade promotion agencies and a large body of economic research. I therefore suggest to add "marketing" in brackets to this article's title and to create a separate article on "trade promotion (international trade)" (or something like this). Anyone else has an opinion on this?Karl Magnus (talk) 08:58, 3 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
