Renaming[edit]

The "at"s and "of"s should be removed from the courses in the TPC Network as part of a rebranding effort from 2006. This rebranding also included adding a pill box around the TPC logo as is done for the PGA TOUR logo. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.241.190.32 (talk) 14:04, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia normally follows common usage when naming articles, and while redirects are created for variations, links normally go direct to the article. A google search wil give you a rough guide to the overriding common usage, for example "TPC Myrtle Beach" generates around 8,000 ghits, whereas "TPC of Myrtle Beach" generates over 51,000; "TPC Louisiana" 22,000 ghits, "TPC of Louisiana" over 84,000. Should you see an overwhelming need to remane an article, you could request that it be moved on it's talkpage stating your reasons. wjematherbigissue 14:15, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That is pretty obvious but the name "TPC at Sawgrass" generates 27,400 hits where as "TPC Sawgrass" generated 116,000. The name has changed just like the Sears Tower is no longer the Sears Tower. I think it is appropriate to list the course by the name that is used by the PGA TOUR. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.241.190.32 (talk) 14:21, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Is there still a question to which name is right? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.121.155.222 (talk) 21:17, 20 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
