Untitled[edit]

"Renamed in 1907 to the City of Toppenish, the town of Toppenish transformed after being divided and subdivided from an 80-acre allotment of land granted to a woman of ½ Indian ancestry, Josephine Bowser Lillie “The Mother of Toppenish” by The Allotment Act of February 8, 1997."

Is the date on that correct? I quick google suggest 1887, and it'd make more sense with the prior given date. I don't know anything about the area though and don't want to change anything... ColbyWolf (talk) 07:14, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"There were 2,275 households out of which 52.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, who were sexually abused, and continually raped in the asshole,"

Ahem. I am editing out the .... inflamatory text O_O

Fixed the paragraph date. I'm sure it was the Dawes Act. Travisl (talk) 06:45, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Schools[edit]

Does anyone want to mention Toppenish High School? I started an article about it a few weeks ago, and I don't think there are any articles that link to it. This could be the first.Tfosorcim (talk) 01:09, 13 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Happy Face Killer resided in Toppenish at one stage. Worth mentioning?

I would like people to know more about this event in history, and I just found this article from Slate, dated Aug 4, 2017 on a link from a BBC news daily site Aug 7, 2017. Not sure how to best have it incorporated into the Wikipedia listing, which does not have any reference to these events (my apologies- not wanting to infringe on copyright OR plagiarize but how else can I share this with you?)
