Reliable Sources[edit]

It's been raised some sources are not reliable. There are citations to a particular Tabloid, but you will also notice the author of those pieces is named in the article because of extradition-proceedings related to the subject for the journalist to divulge her sources.

This may not be the issue; some feedback would be helpful

Of note, I was in contact with the Chief Librarian of the National Library of Ireland who stated if I have seen the copyrighted material, which is not available online, then I can cite it. If you search for the titles on a search-engine you will find the reproductions of the articles.

Some feedback would be helpful

We do not want a long string of similar quotations and examples, but representative ones. They should be selected not on the basis of how spectacular they are, but on the reliability of the source. Duplicate should be removed, and the most reliable only used. For example, one quote on the fees is sufficient.

When you use printed sources not on line, you are expected to demonstrate that you have in fact seen them by citing exact page numbers or other designators.

There seems to be something missing in the first example, the cancer cure charges. When and where did he make them?

The success figures arefrom an unreliable source. Have they been quoted by any reliable source

He is not a businessperson. He is a guru, and I am changing the heading. Or maybe "life coach"

As a matter of style, link only the first use of each name or term.

Page numbers have been added. One widely cited article was provided to me by a third-party and then later by the journalist themself. Page numbers are not available. The email-address of the Journalist confirms they are still employed by the publisher. I am happy to provide you with contacts and reproductions of the articles that have been supplied, with permission, to a third-party. They are also available using Google and the headline!

The lawsuits are with cofounders of the company who either extracted themselves or were removed after Quinn was given, illegally, a Class-A shareholding in the Company. The letter that supposedly showed this was a valid was proven in court to be a forgery. The majority of Class-B shareholders were recruited though the Seminar. The story was enough for the BBC to broadcast a programme about

The Cancer Cure story was from the News of the World (a UK newspaper). The story was published in the UK (not Ireland) and talks about Quinn operating in "North London including Muswell Hill and St John’s Wood" (verified by people who knew him then that have corresponded with me). The act is in UK legislation and so this appears to have occurred in London, although the article does not state a location where he was confronted.

I will seek the "success figures" from news articles; I am sure they have been cited. They have not changed and are still being touted.

No, he is not a business person. One might consider this page was created by, erm, well, someone who considers him a successful businessman!

April 2022[edit]

An Editor claimed major edits to this page were made by a paid associate. If one reads the article one will see that is not the case. I have reinstated the page numbers of articles not available online requested by another Editor. Also a section of claims made by a journalist who originally broke the story of Quinn has been reinstated as it establishes the basis for the Seminar.

The article cited was published in a UK newspaper and refers to Quinn running Yoga courses in London. One presumes this is where he was confronted. Nofoolie (talk) 02:38, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
