Third stay[edit]

Is there any description, article, book etc about his third staying on the island? I've read his book, and I would be very curious about his third time, since it was the longest.--195.56.180.88 (talk) 12:58, 18 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

My understanding was that the book would be republished at some point and would include an epilogue by his daughter, but I lost contact with her some years ago. I don't know whether the book Sisters in the Sun has much information. I'll try to take a look at this later today.-gadfium 18:20, 18 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've expanded the article a little bit using Sisters in the Sun. I recommend you read a copy if you're interested in Neale's life. Pages 91-104 deal with Neale's life, including his third stay up until the book was published in the early 1990s.-gadfium 04:35, 19 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Reception to book[edit]

This mention of Neale's son is disputed by him - the post is by an IP which geolocates to the Cook Islands. I think in good faith we should accept that Stephenson's account does not represent his attitude and remove this from the article. Stephenson's book is not available online and is therefore rather more obscure than this article. @Kintetsubuffalo:, would you reconsider your reinstatement of this section?-gadfium 04:07, 23 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
