From the article:

Tolland is a town located in Connecticut. It is the capitol of Tolland County, Connecticut, though county-level government is of little relevance in the state. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 13,146.

The statement concerning Tolland being the former "capital" of the county is incorrect, at least in recent history. The county seat of Tolland County was Rockville, CT (located in the adjacent town of Vernon), and this is where the county court was located, and where the District Court is today. It's possible Tolland was at some point the county seat, but it was not the most recent one or the one still listed today (although the article is very much correct in stating that Counties are for most purposes irrelevant in Connecticut today).

Tolland used to be the county seat; that's when the old jail and courthouse were built, but it isn't anymore. Rockville is now the county seat of Tolland county Connecticut.
No, it is not. Connecticut hasn't had county government (and therefore county seats) since the early 1960s. BTW, you did you notice that you replied to a 5 and a half year old post? Best, Markvs88 (talk) 13:45, 30 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Notable people section[edit]

I was working on referencing the people listed in this section to show their relationship with Tolland. I was unable to find a reference to cite showing Charles R. Ladd's relation to Tolland. Please add this information if you have it available.
