"Tone" and other article tags[edit]

This article has already been tagged with several tags; I added "tone" as well, because of the references to the author by her first name ("Emily") rather than as "Brontë" even when there is no need to disambiguate her from her siblings; and because the "Analysis" section is written in a stereotypical style often used in mediocre high-school literature essays in which the student lists a rather random set of poetic or rhetorical devices and then desperately searches for examples of those devices. I have attempted to resolve the issue of the use of "Emily" as opposed to "Brontë" where distinction was not needed. I agree that the analysis needs work but I could not find a good source of meaningful insight, so I have decided to leave it in its current state as it is certainly better than nothing.
