Civilian Rule Date[edit]
1979 was not the date Honduras returned to Civilian Rule. Even though Policarpo Paz was "president", his official title was "Presidente Provisional" or provision president. He was a five star general who to his credit transitioned the government to civilian rule. 1982 was the date that Roberto Suazo Cordova take office as elected President Wikihonduras 22:33, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
