Plenty to do here[edit]

Burke was a major figure in the history of Seattle. This article barely scratches the surface. I've added a few facts & cited for what was here. The sources I've cited should help anyone who is trying to flesh this out.

Also, besides the Burke-Gilman Trail and the Burke Museum, two significant Seattle buildings have carried his name:

The southern half of what is now known as the State-Burke Building on Seattle's Occidental Mall (I'm not sure offhand of its historical relation to him)
A building he commissioned, constructed 1889–1891, that stood until 1971 on the site of what is now the Henry M. Jackson Federal Building. It was a rather impressive Richardsonian Romanesque building. A few remnants of it are incorporated into the landscaping of the Jackson Federal Building.

Wenatchee[edit]
