Demographics section[edit]

Does anyone else think this section is a bit... advertising? I see a whole bunch of plus-sided comments for Charles School in Thirunagar, some advertising about a park and a temple near it, several other schools, and zero citations. I'll go through this and try to help, but I think the whole section needs a rewrite. Tell me if you think there are problems with this. Cheers! I have edited the Demographics section and removed a good deal of content that seemed like it was simply advertising. Here's the content for anyone who wants to see it:
It has a prominent Cinema Theatre, Devi Kalaivani and Mani impala. It is a well planned with bus stops 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and 8th. The eighth stop is the Bus Terminus and the third stop is another important junction. Thirunagar has more than 10 internet cafe's with high speed broadband conectivity.[citation needed]

There are several schools like MMM School for Boys, Sitalakshmi School for Girls and Amala Convent. There is a school named as Indira Gandhi Memorial Matric. Hr. Sec. School for both boys and girls. One of the school in Thirunagar is Anusha Vidhyala Matriculation School which has a history of about fifteen years with a record of cent percent result of X Std students in Matriculation Board .

The first and the only reputed English school to setup here was St. Charles English School in the late sixties which attracted students from various south Indian districts and then it was relocated to nearby Thiruvalluvar Nagar on to a huge campus and gradually lost its charm cause of its relocation to a remote location and for the lack of good teaching faculty, and this helped a lot of petty schools to mushroom around Thirunagar most of these school converted from single residential houses don't even have a play ground, They are like a packed human cages. So one can see most of these school kid have to gather at anna poonga if not at the road side doing their drill giving way to the passing vehicles. By this time most of the kids must be NRI placed all around the globe. And then thirunagar well known for its cleanliness its mainly because of the civic exnora' which is actively doing its work in a very perfect and in an attractive way. And our Thirunagar Hockey Club coach is actively making his students not only by teaching hockey and he makes them to keep the park a house of trees and he guides them to plant saplings and they even take care those saplings by watering them in the evening. After the IT bloom, we can find plenty of IT professionals migrated to Silicon Valley from Thirunagar. A beautiful vinayaka temple also located near the park.[citation needed]

Some fixes[edit]

Most of this article seems to have been copied directly from a tour guide of some sort. I have removed most locations listed which were clearly not relevant (Internet cafes, bus stops, etc.) but left some that may be notable enough for inclusion. Almost nothing in the article is sourced either, which makes it harder to determine notability of individual locations. UnlikelyEvent (talk) 22:11, 8 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I removed information about various locations that were either non-notable or actually in neighboring towns. The 'Neighborhoods' section was entirely removed, as none of the entries actually seem to be inside of Thirunagar. In fact, some of them are significantly larger than Thirunagar itself. I also updated the population data to the 2011 census. UnlikelyEvent (talk) 20:37, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
