La Ronde Reference[edit]

The article originally said the film was an "update" of La Ronde, but Peter Bogdanovich says it isn't. "Question: Did you have La Ronde in mind when you came up with the idea? Some critics have compared your film to Ophuls’s. Bogdanovich: La Ronde? No, I just thought it would be fun to make a movie about people that I knew and relationships and their complications. Although it was going to be a personal picture, I wanted to cloak it in something impersonal, because I wanted to play by the rules of the old Hollywood game. And so I came up with the concept of a group of detectives falling in love with the people they’ve been hired to follow."[1]--45.178.176.26 (talk) 17:24, 12 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

They All LaughedThey All Laughed (film) – The Gershwin standard has a greater claim to historical prominence than the Bogdanovich film. This nomination proposes the creation of a They All Laughed disambiguation page that would list both 1937's They All Laughed (song) and 1981's They All Laughed (film). However, if consensus were to coalesce around dispensing with the dab page creation and simply exchanging WP:PRIMARYTOPIC so that the song is primary, I would also support that option. — Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 16:45, 10 September 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. – robertsky (talk) 18:51, 17 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
