The description of Theta Kappa Omega is accurate. I am a alumnus member of the fraternity and am pleased someone took the time to post the information about Theta Kappa Omega. R.Turner Raltur 01:58, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Active status[edit]

Is this fraternity still active? The article is written in the past tense, and Google shows very few hits. —ScouterSig 21:19, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not to my knowledge. R. Turner

I was National President of Teke 1981-1982. Michael C. Barefield Hattiesburg, MS mcbarefield@hotmail.com —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.123.152.212 (talk) 16:10, 24 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I was an active member of Sigma Alpha Chapter of Theta Kappa Omega Fraternity from 1966 to 1969 year of my graduation. I will alway be a Teke as those days in the fraternity were the best days of High School next to football. To add a bit more of information. Usually twice a year the National Office printed a paper back book called the Teke Echoes. In this book told of all the actives to date of all the chapters which submitted chapeter informations such as fund raisers and community service activites. Ads were sold by the chapters of fund the printing of the book. I personally still have 4 Echoes. The National Conventions were really fun and usually were held in the South Eastern States as that was where more chapters was located at that time. I remember the last Convention I attended in Summer of 1968 was West Pam Beach, Fl. Now that was a great High School Convention. WOW If anybody knows the where abouts of Copies of the Teke Echoes, please post to this site. I was a member of the Sigma Alpha chapter in Laurel Ms from 1995-1998. I believe the chapter has since folded. However, I know the last Grand Master who should still have all of the books and information about the chapter. Perhaps it is time to reestablish the chapter In Laurel.
