His brother was kiA in 1944 (see German Wikipedia), with Waigel being born 22nd April 1939, so the statement "Waigel ... When he was 6, his older brother, August, was killed in France during World War 2." is incorrect! Waigel was five years old! 80.151.9.187 (talk)
